A vast search operation took place on Tuesday in the Ankogel group region. Two Hungarians were saved from the mountains on Monday night. In one investigation, the two claimed to have met another mountaineer in the Hochalmspitze area. Mountain rescue, alpine police and the FLIR helicopter were then deployed to search for the person. In the end, the mountaineer is probably a Czech. A car with the corresponding registration plate was found. And the subsequent investigation on Hungarian mountaineers also revealed that a second person, also a Czech citizen, would probably be in the mountains.
