The liquid leaked from a trailer loaded with hydrochloric acid. There was no danger to man and the environment.
DISTRICT FIELD CHURCHES. On November 13, at 10:20 am, a professional driver of 39 years parked his trailer in a car park in the district of Feldkirchen. He noticed that a small amount of unknown liquid was flowing from the back of the trailer. He contacted LAWZ for loading 11,000 liters of hydrochloric acid.
Fire brigades notified
The fire brigades St. Martin, Feldkirchen, St. Veit / Glan and the fire brigades of chemical plants Treibacher, informed afterwards, were able to determine, after a risk investigation, that a possible liter of acid would have flowed. Firefighters at the chemical plants took care of both the cargo and the trailer, where a complete cleaning was done.
There was no danger to man or the environment.
