Gerald Mayer becomes boss of Amag from March 2019
Ranshofen. Now it's official. Gerald Mayer (47) will become Amag's CEO.

He succeeds Helmut Wieser (65) as General Manager on March 1, 2019. This was announced by the company after the Supervisory Board meeting yesterday.
The contract of the technical director Helmut Kaufmann (55 years old) was also extended by the Supervisory Board until 31.12.2022. Mayer, CFO for Amag since 2007, will badume this role in addition to his role as Chief Executive Officer until the appointment of the new CFO.
The supervisory board also decided to immediately launch the research process to staff a management board of sales to best support the growth trajectory in which it had committed, according to the press release. Thus, the company increases the level of management of the previous three to four people.
New board at B & C
The B & C Privatstiftung, which has a majority stake in Amag, Lenzing AG and Semperit, has a new member in the management. Norbert Zimmermann, main shareholder and chairman of the supervisory board of Berndorf AG and chairman of the supervisory board of Schoeller-Bleckmann Oilfield Equipment, joins the board of directors. Zimmermann succeeds Stefan Fida, who stepped in the fall of 2017 after the death of board member Georg Bauthen.
