Police in Klagenfurt managed to hit a group of dealers who sold more than five kilograms of marijuana with a market value of 60,000 euros. Police reported on Wednesday that five people had been arrested and four others released. In addition, 40 clients were interviewed, including a 13-year-old boy.

Already since May 2018, the investigation against the group consisting of asylum seekers was ongoing. Access finally took place last Friday, early in the morning: 90 police officers, including Cobra forces and three handlers with detector dogs, simultaneously searched eight apartments.
During the searches, in addition to the cannabis herb prepared for sale, packaging material, money from the sale of drugs and many cell phones. The arrested people are from Afghanistan, Iran, Syria and The Gambia. They were taken to Klagenfurt Prison. The customers are mainly young people from the districts of Klagenfurt, Völkermarkt and St. Veit.
