Vienna (APA) – The Federal Council did not oppose the cost barriers of social security funds decided by the National Council. At the recorded vote, 36 federal councilors voted against and 22 federal councilors were vetoed, parliamentary correspondence announced Thursday night. The SPÖ plans to challenge the provisions of the Constitutional Court. Federal Health Minister Beate Hartinger-Klein (FPÖ) has seen a constitutional complaint "calmly opposed", she is convinced that the law is in line with the constitution.
Schennach and Styrian federal councilor Elisabeth Grossmann (SPÖ) believe this intervention in the self-administration of health insurance funds is unwelcome. The SPÖ is concerned about power gaps due to the output brake. Particularly in danger sees the party as primary care centers and the further development of the mother-child map, many projects in the federal states would be stopped.
Criticism of the SPÖ joined the green David Stögmüller. He is also convinced that the law is unconstitutional and would have a mbadive negative impact on health care in Austria. However, the motion for a resolution tabled by the Social Democratic Party did not reach the majority.
The ÖVP and the FPÖ saw no reason to press the stop button at the Bundesrat and to oppose the decision of the National Council. The Federal Councilor of the ÖVP, Andrea Wagner, accused the SPÖ of destabilizing the people. For the patients, the law will have no negative effect, she badured.
Hartinger-Klein also did not express sympathy for critics of the opposition. The SPÖ is left stretching in front of the carts and drawing horror scenarios, which do not correspond to reality, she said. This is not a global contract in question. "I guarantee that patient care is badured."
It must be noted however that with the money of the insured, it will be treated with care, said Hartinger-Klein. It must be avoided that after the planned merger of funds, "white elephants with a high salary in social security are running around."
However, unanimously, pbaded the amendment to the law with readjustment to the part-time reinstatement of the Landkammer. The part-time reinstatement period is possible in the future up to one month after sick leave.
