LINZ. By 2030, 127,000 skilled workers will be absent from the economy of Upper Austria, according to the most recent forecast of the Fachschaftsmonitor.

"Forecasts illustrate the dramatic increase in the shortage of skilled labor in all regions," said Deputy Governor Michael Strugl (ÖVP). Two years ago, the forecast was still 136,000 professionals

According to Monitor, a rather modest bottleneck on skilled workers, relative to 2.3%, was recorded this year. The demand potential exceeds the supply potential of 16,000 professionals.
