After fierce battles with at least two dead in the Gaza Strip, radical Islamic Hamas claims to have agreed to a ceasefire with Israel. The ruling organization in the Palestinian region has accepted a corresponding mediation offer from Egypt, spokesman Fausi Barhum said Saturday night. A spokesman for the Israeli army simply stated that the actions of the army depended on the situation on the ground.
