Jamal Khashoggi's eldest son leaves Saudi Arabia

In another turnaround, the Saudi Attorney General called Jamal Khashoggi's badbadination a voluntary act. This was indicated by the information provided by the Turkish side, said Thursday the Attorney General.

The famous journalist and critic of the Saudi ruling house was badbadinated on October 2 at the Royal Consulate in Istanbul. Shortly after, it was announced in Turkey that he had been murdered, but the farm was denied for weeks. First, he told Riyadh, Khashoggi left the consulate safely. This is only the weekend that the authorities have acknowledged his death. However, they claimed that the 59-year-old player had been killed during a scuffle. Then it was announced that the authors had taken him into the vise and had closed his mouth. At the international level, the statements did not augur well that the President of the United States, Donald Trump, would have described them as "the worst dissimulation ever recorded".

With the recent declaration, Saudi Arabia is getting closer to the Turkish version. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused Riyadh of "planned murder" this week. That the Saudi investigators reached the same conclusion, the Attorney General remained open. The statement, published by the official SPA press agency, simply stated that the Attorney General's office had received the Turkish conclusions regarding "the joint work team" of Saudi Arabia and the Turkey. The investigation would continue. The day before, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had telephoned Erdogan. In his first statement, the strong man at the Saudi court described the murder as "heinous act". At the same time, he praised the good relations with Turkey.

The latest reversal goes hand in hand with the return of Gina Haspel, chief of the CIA, to Washington. Reel has been in Ankara and Riyadh for a few days. In addition to surveillance camera recordings, the Turkish government has also allowed access to sound recordings, various media reported Thursday. According to Turkey's statements in the recordings, one can hear how Khashoggi was murdered. If at present Riyadh proceeds from a deliberate murder, the claim that the court, and in particular the Crown Prince, knew nothing, could no longer be preserved. The European Parliament on Thursday called for an arms embargo imposed on Saudi Arabia, but the resolution is not binding. At the same time, Salah Khashoggi, the eldest son of Jamal Khashoggi, was able to go on Thursday to his siblings in the United States. The farm had prevented him from leaving the country for several months.
