Haslauer: the planned closure is regrettable / Land participates in the foundation of the work
(LK) The Czech MTX group, which has operated Lend's aluminum smelter for a year and a half, shut down the plant at the end of the year, as it has just become. 60 employees are affected. In June 2019, the Schwarzach plant, which produces aluminum panels, is expected to stop producing.
"This surprisingly planned closure of the aluminum plants of Lend and Schwarzach at the end of the year or in June is very unfortunate: the country will of course participate in a foundation of work if necessary, but because of the good economic situation Mayor Michaela Höfelsauer contacted us to propose quick solutions to the victims, "said governor Wilfried Haslauer.
