The crashed Lion Air machine had problems with the onboard instruments – and even before the accident flight. The experts of the manufacturer Boeing are going to Jakarta to investigate the accident.

As explained by a spokesman for the National Transport Authority, Boeing 737 technology was transmitting incorrect data of altitude and flight speed during a previous flight on Sunday.

Edward Sirait, CEO of Lion Air, confirmed that the display in the badpit posed such difficulties. "But the problems were solved overnight, wait for the investigation." According to the airline, the machine had been in service only since August and was airworthy.

Experts from the aircraft manufacturer Boeing travel to Jakarta to help the authorities find the cause of the accident. They should arrive on Wednesday. Above all, the penultimate flight of the Bali machine in Jakarta is in focus. After the crash with 189 dead Monday, Indonesian air traffic control KNKT is conducting the investigation.
