Leverkusen, Tokyo – Japanese automaker Mazda has recalled approximately 350,000 cars in its workshops in Europe. Poorly programmed control software could lead to soot deposits, which could exhaust the engine, Mazda told Leverkusen on Tuesday. Callback numbers in Germany were not available. At the moment, there were no figures for Austria either.
These are Mazda 3, Mazda 6 and CX-5 models with a 2.2 liter diesel engine. The cars concerned were manufactured according to the information provided between February 2012 and July 2018. In the workshops, the software must be checked – in case of error, the door of entry is replaced. Previously, the portal "kfz-betrieb.vogel.de" mentioned the recall. (APA / dpa)
