In Austria, business meetings at the ÖBB resulted in delays in buses and trains. The company committee wishes to inform the employees about the new working time. There are a number of delays and failures.

Company meetings are held since 6 am and can last all morning, depending on the state. Especially, the meetings in Vienna and Lower Austria affect the many commuters, but until now the situation is calm, according to ÖBB. In St. Pölten, about a quarter of scheduled connections were delayed or canceled Monday morning – no more delays in trains due to company meetings (noe.ORF.at).

There were delays in Vienna, especially in local traffic. On the main high-speed line, pbadengers had to accept additional waiting minutes. It is not excluded that the delays last until the afternoon, according to the ÖBB – more on this in the delays due to the meetings (wien.ORF.at).

Longer restrictions expected

Styrian trains have been falling since 7.00 o'clock in both local and long-distance traffic. At the ÖBB, it is currently expected that some of these restrictions will continue throughout the morning. In Graz, buses and trams run to Remise from 7:45 am and have to be closed from 8:30 am to 11:00 am, as there is a staff meeting in Holding Graz. There will also be business meetings at PostBus, but if there are only suburban buses, it will be affected by any cancellations – more in Öffis (steiermark.ORF .at).

The great chaos has not happened yet

in Salzburg, where the company committee has instructed the station staff from 8 am in the central station of Remise in Salzburg. Until now, however, chaos has remained, it is said at ÖBB – read more in the early delays in rail traffic (salzburg.ORF.at).

In Vorarlberg, however, there are more delays than originally planned. Also concerned here are long-distance trains to and from Vienna and trains to Switzerland. Rail replacement services have been put in place for routes to Switzerland – more on this subject in more trains than supposed (vorarlberg.ORF.at).

Many are doing with the car

The delays due to the factory meetings at ÖBB and Postbus also exist Upper Austria, but many are likely to be switched to the car or made earlier on the road. The chaos was also there, but there was a little more traffic in the morning – more in chaos without traffic (ooe.ORF.at).

In Carinthia, the 15 business meetings at the ÖBB Monday are just the prelude: From here Wednesday, about 115 business meetings are scheduled in Carinthia. Among these are companies from the metallurgy and production sectors, according to the ÖGB – more on this topic is the prelude to the protests (kaernten.ORF.at).
