Two ministers in one week: According to the Minister of the Interior, Herbert Kickl (FPÖ), the Minister of Justice, Josef Moser (ÖVP), is invited as an informant to the committee of. Investigation into the controversial search in the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution and the Fight against Terrorism (BVT). In advance, Moser had repeatedly criticized and proposed to amend the law of the prosecutor.
In any event, Moser did not criticize the judiciary nor the department's interior committee. At least not direct; but at least he found some unusual things. Thus, Moser said that he was unaware of any other case where a ministry employee would have contacted the prosecutor to demand an arrest. That's what Udo Lett, the closest badociate of the Secretary General of the Ministry of the Interior, Peter Goldgruber, says.
Moser wants changes in delicate investigations
On many issues, Moser referred to the prosecutor's jurisdiction, which repeatedly reiterated that it was necessary to change to deal with sensitive issues. Specifically, it found it "appropriate" for the Office of the Attorney General (OStA) to be involved in investigations of institutions of particular interest. In the case of BAT, this did not happen because the law does not provide for it. Journalists should in the future be informed in writing of the idea of Moser, which did not materialize in the BVT case, even before the house search was approved. But an agreement should only be possible if life is in danger.
As a result of investigative pressure in the case, Moser extinguished. Otherwise, there would probably have been no request for a home search late at night. Above all, Lett should have put pressure to make suspensions.
Moser had charged a separate group from the Korneuburg prosecutor at the end of the summer to re-examine the BVT's investigative procedures. There are no results here. It was said to be very complete, said the minister, who also recalled the various commercials of the case, with some defendants, other suspects and others only. Everyone involved in this case is involved, from the responsible prosecutor Ursula Schmudermayer to Kickl, to Peter Gridling, director of the BVT, to Goldgruber.
According to Moser, Ursula Schmudermayer, the chief prosecutor of the Office of the Prosecutor for Economic Affairs and Corruption (WKStA), is summoned for 13 hours. This is his third appearance in the U-Committee.
