Pilots radio unidentified flying objects

He flew much faster than planes – and he was very brilliant: an object flying over the skies of Ireland is a mystery. The radio traffic of the pilots shows their astonishment.

Several pilots of pbadenger planes have reported a UFO on the southwest coast of Ireland. The Irish Air Safety Authority is currently examining the question of what badpit crews may have seen there. The radio traffic documented in our video shows just how much the pilots and the tower are confusing the unidentified flying object.

It is 6:47 am on Friday morning when the BAW94 pilot arrives at Shannon Air Traffic Control. "Are there military maneuvers right here?" It takes about 15 seconds, then a response from Shannon Air Traffic Control. There was nothing to see on the radar screens.

"It's gone at high speed"

Four and a half hours after leaving for Montreal and a little over an hour flight from the finish in London, something brilliant moved very fast next to the Boeing 787. The machine was not in the Atlantic for a few minutes, but in County Kerry, in southwestern Ireland.

"Was it beside you?" Asks the employee on the floor. From an altitude of nearly 12,000 meters, the pilot reported that he was to the left of the aircraft and quickly headed north. "It was very clear," he repeated. "And it's gone quickly." She just wondered what it was.

Two other pilots come into play, from the Norwegian Air Boeing 737 badpit, before the start of the landing at Shannon and from a Virgin Atlantic jumbo during the Orlando-Manchester flight. The phenomenon was clearly not neglected: "It was very bright where we were." On the left in front of the machine were two very bright lights, at the 11 o'clock position, reports the jumbo driver.

Meteor could be an explanation

The explanation is also speculated: an object entering the atmosphere may be heard by a live pilot. A meteor or junk food from space. In the trajectory of the object were several objects. This could indicate a break.

Even small parts of the space can turn into bright fireballs, the annealing only faintly causing the light: the friction ionizes the air and makes it shine. However, pilots do not talk about a trail of light behind the object.

The International Meteorological Organization did not report any ground observations, but the skies over Ireland were also cloudy at that time. However, according to the US Meteor Society, four meteor showers were active during this period, including Taurids known for their light fireballs.

"Mach 2" estimates the speed of the pilot. That would be twice the speed of sound and almost three times faster than an airliner. However, the meteors are up to 100 times faster depending on the angle of entry.

The Irish flight inspection investigates a case

Proponents of theories of extraterrestrial visits or secret military experiments have doubts about Meteor's thesis in comments – because of a phrase from Virgin's pilot: "I saw two bright lights at 11 o'clock since … … coming back to the right and then climbing. "Two bright lights were on the right and then went up and went.

All the machines flying along the west-east axis, "right" would head south, contrary to the description of the British Airways pilot. In the description "climb", the pilot could be mis-expressed or the prospect would have misled.

The Irish Air Traffic Control Commission responds in the same way when asked, inter alia, to "the Irish Examiner": "According to reports of a small number of aircraft, November 9 regarding unusual flight movements, the IAA opened an investigation ". The case will be investigated according to the usual non-public procedure.
