The crowd went this weekend to the Martini Market on Monastery Mountain. With 19,300 paying visitors, the event supported by OÖNachrichten blew up the previous record of 18,000 guests. Organizer Hubert Ecklbauer and his 370 badistants were particularly pleased with the crowd: "I am thinking of 2006, when the Martinimarkt was first organized by the community." The adventure was worth it. "
As the first Martinimarkt of the annual calendar, the traditional Steinerkirche festival has the privilege of being a pioneer: "Exhibitors repeatedly confirm that they like to come to Steinerkirchen, which is also due to the power of 39 high purchase of the region. "
Once again, the organizers leave nothing to chance: "We are a well-rehearsed team and we know exactly what is important." 140 exhibiting craftsmen presented themselves with their products. A total of 225 candidates applied for a booth at the Benedictine monastery, at the old school or on the church square.
First Christmas purchases
The huge variety of offer has attracted many visitors during their first Christmas shopping. The range of products ranged from ceramics to painted silk, including exceptional bags and hand-painted pedigrees. Nearly ten percent of the exhibitors came from Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovenia.
Long lines formed at the refueling stations. Of course, the most popular hot drink was punch. In two days, 6000 seeds were emptied. This too is a record.
