WAIDHOFEN AT THAYA (Lower Austria): At 18:28 on July 25, 2018, the Freiw. Feuerwehr Waidhofen on the Thaya was ialarmiert to a storm damage in a residential complex. A violent storm had torn up the roof hatch mounted on the mooring roof and thrown it into the depths.

Shortly after, a strong storm fell on Waidhofen on the Thaya. But a squall was so strong that she tore a roof hatch from a multi-stakeed 4-story mooring house. The skylight was thrown down, damaging two vehicles parked next to the house. Fortunately, no one was injured in this incident.

The chief of operations made a photo of the extent of the damage after the arrival. The current members of the height relief group have equipped themselves for a mission on the roof of the housing complex and have gone with special equipment on a small rooftop roof exit.

Meanwhile, the aerial ladder in the parking lot was set up to bring the necessary equipment quickly to the site. The large hole left by the torn roof hatch was covered with a tarpaulin, and then temporarily secured by members of the rescue group high up.

The "ground crew" removed the remains of the roof hatch of the two partially damaged vehicles and cleaned the place of use in the parking lot. At 19:42, firefighters in the city were able to return to the fire station.
