Klagenfurt (OTS) – HETA ASSET RESOLUTION AG (HETA) informs that a purchase agreement for the sale of the Alpe-Adria-Zentrum in Klagenfurt was signed on November 29, 2018 with Maximo GmbH, a subsidiary of Stern Real Properties AG based in Zurich. Silence was agreed on the purchase price.
The Alpe-Adria center covers an area of more than 15,000 m² and is currently the headquarters of HETA ASSET RESOLUTION AG, with its 3 building elements, built in 1999-2002 and designed by architect Thom Mayne.
In the process, HETA, in collaboration with Drees & Sommer, acted as a sales consultant and for the AHP law firm with MMag. Dr. Werner Hochfellner acts as legal counsel in the context of a structured, open, transparent and non-discriminatory international tendering process.
The sales transaction should be finalized in the coming weeks. HETA will continue to use part of the building as a tenant until further notice.

HETA ASSET RESOLUTION AG is a mining company owned by the Republic of Austria. Its total balance sheet amounts to approximately EUR 6.4 billion (as at 31.12.2017). It has the legal mandate to use the non-performing part of Hypo Alpe Adria, which was nationalized in 2009, in the most efficient and economical way possible.

Maximo GmbH is a subsidiary of Stern Real Properties AG, specializing in attractive sites, high quality residential and commercial buildings as well as land with potential for optimization. The buying process was supervised on the buyer side by the lawyer Ulrich Paulsen (lawyers Paulsen & Burger-Scheidlin). At the end of the transaction, the acquiring company will immediately take steps to sell and revitalize the Alpe-Adria center.
