The Salzkammergut and the Pyhrn area are affected by the storm warning, says Bernhard Niedermoser, meteorologist at ZAMG. From 9pm to midnight, the gusts have the most power at a speed of up to 110km / h.

The damage is to be feared: with the expected strength of the wind, it is necessary to count with uprooted trees and power cuts, even one or the other of the roofs could not resist, said Niedermoser. "At that moment, you should absolutely stay inside, rather leave the car," he continues.

If the storm turns off around midnight, you should not be premature with cleaning. Already Tuesday morning, the meteorologist again forecast winds ranging from 80 to 90 km / h in the mountains of the south. In the second half of the day, the situation slowly relaxes.
