On Wednesday, the National Council finished the prelude to the full week after more than 14 hours. In addition to the debate on many of the Court of Auditors' reports, numerous legal resolutions were also presented at the meeting. In addition to the indexation of family allowances, a telecommunications law was adopted by a majority of the coalition members.

The amendment aims to accelerate the expansion of broadband. This allows telecom operators, for example, to install 5G antennas in a non-bureaucratic manner on public buildings. Federal states and municipalities are encouraged to report their excavation work so that, where appropriate, fiber optic cables can be co-deployed by telecommunications operators. Conversely, countries and municipalities can participate in digging individuals.

The paper bill is a perennial burner that causes problems. It is not very appreciated by companies. In the future, it will only be available in the telecommunications sector if it is requested separately, which has particularly disrupted the SPÖ in the debate.

Also approved was a shipping novella. Among other things, routine alcohol checks by means of breathable air control, which are common in road traffic, are also possible for inland navigation.

In turn, an amendment to the Companies Act will allow companies to use bearer shares to raise capital on the "third market". The SPÖ feared here a loophole for the financing of terrorism and money laundering.
