The frontal collision at Hargelsberg was fatal

For unknown reasons, two cars on the B309 collided head-on around 8:00 pm, the emergency services said in the late evening.
When firefighters Kronstorf and Hargelsberg arrived at the scene of the accident, they found two cars completely demolished. The brave first responders had already released an injured person from one of the cars.
A second victim was mbadively stuck in the wreckage of the accident, according to Fubereich firefighters. For rescue, hydraulic rescue equipment was used. According to Helmut Fdermayr, Fire Chief of Linz-Land District, still at the scene of the accident, one-third of the detainees who had received any help arrived late.
Firefighters helped the tow company clean up the site. Steyrer Strbade was closed to traffic for about two hours in the area of the accident site. The police set up a local detour.
