Trump hijacks vice-security advisor after criticizing first lady

Washington – US President Donald Trump has withdrawn Mira Ricardel from his position as Deputy National Security Advisor. Not long ago, the first lady, Melania Trump, had publicly called for the dismissal of this senior government official.

Ricardel will leave the White House to badume a "new role" in the administration, said Wednesday in Washington (White House spokeswoman, Sarah Sanders) in Washington. The US president is grateful for Ricardel's continued service.

On Tuesday, Melania Trump intervened in a very unusual step in terms of human resources in her husband's administration, telling her spokesperson that Ricardel no longer deserved to work for the White House.

Ricardel was previously Assistant National Security Advisor, John Bolton. According to US media reports, in recent weeks she has reportedly been in trouble with Melania Trump's office because of organizational problems related to the First Lady's first solo trip to Africa. The Wall Street Journal reported that it was about seats in the plane and requests for use of National Security Council funds.

The White House has set records for staff change under President Donald Trump. Ricardel was the third person to be badistant advisor on national security.

After the congressional elections last week, several top US officials must fear for their posts. According to insiders, Trump may also want to replace Homeland Security Minister Kirstjen Nielsen and his chief of staff, John Kelly.
