A 77-year-old German citizen hiked with his wife and five other people from the Techendorfer Alm on 04.07.2018 on a hiking trail to Weißensee Ostufer, municipality of Weißensee, district of Spittal an der Drau . In the "Wurten" area, the 77-year-old man escaped from a hitherto unknown cause and fell on a steep terrain until he s' immobilize on a rock wall. During this accident, the man seriously injured. He was saved by mountain rescue. After receiving first aid from an ambulance and ambulance service, the 77-year-old man was transported to Spittal an der Drau hospital

Mountain rescue:

This afternoon, a 78-year-old German hiker fell victim to Techendorferalm. This was recovered from the Spittal / Drau-Stockenboi rescue mountain with a broken ankle and brought to a road.

15 mountain rescuers, 2 Red Cross employees and one Paternion officer were in action. Helicopter rescue was not possible on densely wooded and hilly terrain.
