Linz Ars Electronica celebrates 40 years with a new permanent exhibition on artificial intelligence

Ars Electronica not only celebrates its anniversary with a new permanent exhibition, which is expected to be completed on the third floor of the Ars Electronica Center (AEC) at the end of May. Its main subject: artificial intelligence. How does a machine think like humans? The show – funded after the loss of land and the federal government as financial partner of the city of Linz with 2.5 million euros and the ACS with 1.5 million euros – allows you to "watch a PC in full reflection," said Gerfried Stocker, artistic director and general manager of the AEC. By the end of August, the newly designed laboratories located in the first basement will also invite visitors to interact.

The European Festival "Artificial Intelligence (IA) & Music" organized in the monastery of St. Florian and in the postal town of Linz was accompanied for the first time by a cooperation with the festival Ars Electronica Brucknerhaus (4.-9.9. ). It is designed by Bruckner master orchestra conductor, Markus Poschner, by Dennis Russell Davies, chief conductor of the Brno Philharmonic, and by Volkmar Klien, director of the orchestra. Young creative wanted

The Ars Electronica Prize will be broader: a new category "AI & Life Art" will combine artificial intelligence with biotechnology and genetic engineering.
