After several weeks of slowing rates, the pace of America’s COVID-19 vaccinations has come back to life.
More than a million Americans have received a COVID-19 vaccine in the past 24 hours, which is the highest single-day total in seven weeks.
Of these vaccines, more than half were people receiving their first dose of a two-dose vaccine.
Additionally, several states with the highest absorption of gunfire are among those with the worst increases in Covid cases, such as Florida and Louisiana.

After millions of Americans lined up to wait their turn to get vaccinated in the winter and spring, the pace slowed down in the summer.
However, a mixture of fear due to the spread of the Indian ‘Delta’ variant and vaccination mandates from governments and companies has resulted in a further increase in demand.
As of Thursday, the United States reported 1,023,545 new doses administered in a single day, the highest number since July 3, when 1,161,081 doses were administered.
That number includes 562,000 first doses according to White House Covid data director Cyrus Shahpar.

And in Louisiana, authorities are reporting a seven-day average of 20,642 per day, a figure not seen since May 12.
President Joe Biden also broke the good news and urged Americans to keep getting shot.
“We have administered over a million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine in the past 24 hours – this is the highest number in seven weeks,” he tweeted on Thursday.
“If you haven’t already, please get the vaccine. Let’s keep this momentum going and beat COVID-19.

It comes a day after the White House said it plans to make booster shots of the COVID-19 vaccine available to all Americans – not just those with compromised immune systems.
Three studies, published by the CDC on the same day, suggested that vaccines protect against serious illness, hospitalization, and death, but lose effectiveness against mild and moderate illness.
Adults over 18 of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccine will be eligible to receive a third dose eight months after their last injection starting the week of September 20.
The decision is pending approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and a recommendation from the CDC’s advisory committee.
In an interview with Hello america On Thursday, Biden said he and First Lady Jill Biden were planning to receive booster shots.
“We will receive the booster injections. And that’s something I think – you know, because we got our snaps in December, I think, ”Biden told host George Stephanopoulos.
“So, it’s high time… Yes, we’ll have the booster shots. ”
