The long-awaited cold front has finally passed through central Georgia and we are already seeing cooling in the region.

Overnight, dry air will continue to seep in and we’ll start to see temperatures drop into the 50s by Thursday morning.

It will take some time for us to warm up in the afternoon after our chilly start, and we expect the highs to not reach until the mid-70s.

In addition to the cool and dry conditions, the rain will finally stop (for quite a while).

The only real changes we’ll see in the forecast until next week will be a slow warm-up from the 70s to the mid-80s later this weekend.

Otherwise, expect the clear skies and low humidity to stay for a while.

Meanwhile, in the Atlantic, Tropical Depression Eighteen has formed and appears to be strengthening fairly quickly over open water.

At present, the forecast continues to be good for Central Georgia throughout the week.
