The trailer for the announcement began with Donkey Kong and his friend Diddy, who feared with their sworn enemy, King K. Rool, when they were surprised by something. If you know Banjo-Kazooie, their fighting style in Smash Bros. Ultimate will not have too many surprises. Banjo will throw punches, Kazooie will both throw eggs and use his wings to help Banjo float, sprint and load. Even the Jinjos of the series make an appearance in the final smash of BK. Banjo-Kazooie will be available in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in the fall of 2019.
The news was particularly noteworthy, since Banjo and Kazooie are characters belonging to Rare, which belongs to Microsoft. Of course, Nintendo was the original publisher of the Banjo series.
