This is not another 3D platform game, but this announcement could be just as exciting. Confirmed today at E3 2019, Nintendo Direct, Banjo-Kazooie, ie Banjo Bear and Kazooie the Breegull, are going to the biggest party of the games video: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The duo rubs shoulders and exchanges fists and feathers with characters like Mario, Donkey Kong and Pikachu, as well as other guest characters such as Joker of Persona 5, the hero of Dragon Quest, announced at the same presentation.

In traditional Nintendo fashion, revelation did not come without a "getcha" moment. The trailer for the announcement began with Donkey Kong and his friend Diddy, who feared with their sworn enemy, King K. Rool, when they were surprised by something. It's something golden – is it … a puzzle piece? The trio rushes to see where he comes from and meets a black bird, then a black bear … but it's just duo Duck Hunt. The dog makes fun of everyone and your guard is down, but for a moment, Kazooie and Banjo arrive on the scene and everything is fine for the world. You can watch the trailer above.

If you know Banjo-Kazooie, their fighting style in Smash Bros. Ultimate will not have too many surprises. Banjo will throw punches, Kazooie will both throw eggs and use his wings to help Banjo float, sprint and load. Even the Jinjos of the series make an appearance in the final smash of BK. Banjo-Kazooie will be available in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in the fall of 2019.

The news was particularly noteworthy, since Banjo and Kazooie are characters belonging to Rare, which belongs to Microsoft. Of course, Nintendo was the original publisher of the Banjo series.

Banjo-Kazooie was not the only character announced today – Japanese role-playing fans can eagerly await the Dragon Quest hero, who will arrive in the summer of 2019. The hero will fight with a sword, a shield, an assortment of magic spells. The hero can also take the form of the protagonists of Dragon Quest 3, 4, 8 and 11. You can read more about him in our story.
