TUCSON, Arizona – Blane and Susan Barksdale appeared before a federal judge Thursday.
On Thursday night, the two men appeared in front of a Pima County judge to face charges in Tucson,
The Barksdales have taken cognizance of the charges against him and are given a date for their indictment. No plea was filed during Thursday's appearance.
Thursday afternoon, the couple is presented before a federal judge. Cameras are not allowed in this room.
Susan Barksdale was the first to come in and she came chained to her wrists, ankles and waist.
When Ms. Barksdale entered the courtroom, she sniffed and wore red scrubs and fangs.
She spoke with her defense lawyer and started to cry, was placed before the judge who then dismissed a federal complaint against her.
She thanked the judge and was taken away later.
Blane Barksdale was taken to the hearing room, followed by four fully screened correctional officers.
He wore black and white striped scrubs, also chained to the wrists, ankles and waist.
He sat with his lawyer, his face in check, before appearing before the federal judge.
The judge dismissed the federal complaint against him and Barksdale was taken out of the courtroom
Both Barksdales will be held at Pima County Jail with a recommended bond of one million dollars each.
