Barry Season 4 Scripts Completed During The Season 3 Pandemic Delay – / Movie

HBO Killer Comedy Series Barry featuring Bill hader was one of many shows preparing to go into production just before the coronavirus pandemic shut down everything for most of last year. While production of some movies and TV shows has resumed with strict security protocols in place, it looks like the creators of Barry are a little more cautious, as they haven’t started filming the third season of the series yet. But the good news is that the extended hiatus allowed Bill Hader and the show’s co-creator Alec berg to write the entire season 4.

Bill Hader appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers last night (via The AV Club), and his former Saturday Night Live Buddy is looking forward to the third season of Barry Like the rest of us. So he asked where they were with the making of new episodes. Hader explained:

“At the time of the lockdown in March, we were a week away from filming. So the last time I was in a room with a lot of people, the table read season three episodes one and two, and we were good to go. Then everything stopped. Season three is completely written, ready to go, and then during that time we went to write season four. So we did these two things. We’re just waiting to be able to start filming again. “

Knowing that writing on Season 4 is already complete is great news, especially since we haven’t heard that HBO has officially ordered a fourth season yet. But the fact that Hader and Berg have already written the scripts would seem to indicate this is happening and just hasn’t been officially announced by the cable channel yet.

We look forward to the third season of Barry, especially after that cliffhanger of an ending in the season two finale. We won’t spoil it for anyone who still wants to catch up Barry before the new episodes arrive (looks like you’ve got plenty of time), but suffice to say, it will take some smart maneuvers for Barry to get out of this pickle.

New episodes of Barry may not come soon enough, but with the coronavirus pandemic currently experiencing a dangerous increase in California, production of many films and TV shows has been suspended for now and it is unclear when they could return to work . It means we might not see Barry return to HBO until 2022. But every time the show returns, we’ll be happy to have it.
