The Arvest Foundation recently announced a contribution of $ 2,000 to the Hopestone Cancer Support Center. Debbie Halpin, Executive Director of Hopestone accepted the check with Lyndee Taylor of Comforting Hands Hospice and Stephen Fluharty of Real Okie Superheroes.
Funds from the Arvest Foundation were used for gift bags for Kids Kamp, a fun day for children living with cancer and their siblings. This year the event took place virtually with superheroes delivering the gift bags to the homes of Kids Kamp participants. The children were able to participate in virtual arts and crafts activities, fun activities and receive a gift bag.
“Kids Kamp is a special day,” said Halpin. “We thank the Arvest Foundation for helping us create a little joy in the lives of our children and their families. It’s more than Hopestone who supports them and makes them smile, it’s the whole community. “
Hopestone’s mission is to support and empower the cancer community of Bartlesville and the surrounding area through fellowship, supportive aid, exercise, education and the arts.
