DALLAS – Baylor Scott & White Health sued a Dallas doctor, who is skeptical of the COVID-19 vaccine, after he allegedly continued to use an affiliation with Baylor Health in interviews and posts, even though he was no longer employed by them.
According to the lawsuit, BSWH and HealthTexas Provider Network entered into a confidential separation agreement with Peter A. McCullough in February that he would no longer use his affiliation with them after quitting their job.
The lawsuit alleges that McCullough broke the deal and continued to use an affiliation with BSWH “dozens if not hundreds of times” in media interviews and other publications.
They claim this caused confusion among the public, with multiple comments on social media in which people continued to believe McCullough was still employed by BSWH.
McCullough’s falsely associating with BSWH also led journalists and medical professionals, “including some of the nation’s most renowned healthcare facilities”, to contact them about his employment with them, according to the lawsuit.
The lawsuit gave several examples, in which McCullough identified himself as “vice chief of internal medicine, Baylor Medical Center” and “cardiologist and vice chief of medicine at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas”.
McCullough even used the title during an appearance with a German webcast, according to the lawsuit.
BSWH is asking McCullough for over $ 1 million for monetary relief, as well as non-monetary relief.
A court has granted a temporary restraining order by BSWH against McCullough.
There is a hearing for a temporary injunction application on August 10.
