The Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) is pleased to announce that Beaver Local Schools Financial Director / Treasurer Stacy Williams recently received a 2021 ASBO Emerging Leaders Award.
The award honors outstanding and emerging school business professionals as well as a paid scholarship to attend the ASBO International Annual Conference and Exhibition October 12-16 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
“The Emerging School Business Leaders Award is given to a select few who not only have an impact at their district level, but who also impact the profession of school business leaders. “ says David Lewis, executive director of ASBO International.
After receiving an appointment from a treasurer in her region, Stacy was among the 18
across the country to receive the award this year. She was also the only recipient selected in the state of Ohio. Stacy is active in its state chapter, the Ohio Association of School Business Officials, where she mentors several new local treasurers and also sits on various committees, including the ASBO International Committee. Additionally, she has proven her dedication to the profession by personally testifying before the Ohio House of Representatives regarding rural school funding.
“I am passionate about my service at Beaver Local and I am constantly looking for ways to maximize taxpayer dollars to support our students, staff and the school community. I thank my colleagues for the nomination and the ASBO for choosing me. I am also grateful for the opportunity to deepen my professional knowledge, expand my network and bring new ideas back to Beaver Local.
