The upcoming skins for Yuumi, Malzahar, and Kog’Maw are sure to create a buzz in the League of Legends community.
Riot today unveiled bee-themed cosmetics for the three champions, draping them in shiny yellows and blacks. Skins should hit the PBE soon for players to test.
As expected, cosmetics bring in several themes and patterns commonly associated with flying insects. Yuumi, for example, floats on a sunflower instead of his magic book. Malzahar’s Voidling is replaced by a bee-like creature, and his abilities all feature honey. Likewise, Kog’Maw no longer spits coarse slime. The AD carry uses honey to slow down opponents.
The three skins that come from bees are not the first League cosmetics focused on clumsy pollinators. Beemo and Beekeeper Singed pay homage to flying insects, as well as Stinger Akali and Yellow Jacket Shen.
With bee skins set to hit PBE soon, they will likely hit live servers in two weeks.
