Last Friday in southwestern Japan, showers caused landslides and floods. More than a hundred people are already dead and fifty others have disappeared. The number of victims continues to grow.

This disaster could be the most important in the history of Japan in recent decades. Heavy rains do not stop, forecasters warn of the threat of new floods.

Hundreds of homes were affected by the floods, about one and a half million residents were ordered by the authorities to leave their homes for security reasons. Another three million received recommendations from the authorities for evacuation, reports the BBC.
