The mechanics are simple: you buy goods for several rubles, pay 200 Russian rubles (about 3 dollars) and you change 100 dollars.

– Two women, seemingly tourist, ordered me a beer for 5.5 rubles. As a payment put 200 rubles, – the saleswoman tells. – I have noticed and said that it is not our money, which I have never seen. And one of them replied that it was Belarusian money and that she simply could not receive a change from a large bill.

This is a comment from the vendors of a Grodno café on Sovetskaya Street, which leads hrodna.life. The case was July 28th. Only in the evening, the bartender realized that the money was not Belarusian.

After that, it was learned that on July 21 in Grodno, two girls were paying a wedding bouquet worth 200 rubles, writes newgrodno.by. Counting the change, the seller did not immediately realize that the rubles were not Belarusian, but when she realized, she rushed after the girls after, but to no avail. The store guards, checking the recording of the video camera, could not see the faces of the fraudsters.
