The decision was made on November 28th.

In 2016, the Budslav festival, which takes place in the district of Myadel in the Minsk region, has received the status of historical and cultural value of Belarus.

The pilgrimage tradition in Budslav is already 28 years old. Going on a journey, each of the pilgrims determines himself the purpose and the request with which he goes to Budslav's Mother of God. It is not customary to talk about it, but everyone has it. For pleasure, the sacrifice is made: to cross a considerable distance on foot. And the time of travel is to think about life.

By the way, there is another Belarussian rite in the list of cultural heritage of UNESCO – "Carol kings" in the village of Semezhevo (Kopyl district, Minsk region).

In 2018, Belarus sent to the UNESCO Committee a proposal to include the "Yurov Round Dance" spring rite "" on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
