Experts from "Akhov ptushak Batskaushchyny" discovered that unauthorized quarries were being exploited in the Olmansky marshes. There were about ten quarries and in three of them, state bodies confirmed the facts relating to illegal activities.

According to a public body, the sand was extracted in quarries for road construction.

As the environment committee informed the environmentalists in a letter to the Brest Regional Natural Resource Committee, the Stolin District Investigation Committee initiated criminal proceedings on November 16, 2017, on illegal activities. Extraction in the forest areas of Stvigsky and Khrapunsky. An investigation is underway.
