Alexander Lukashenko congratulated Salome Zurabishvili on his election to the presidency of Georgia, reported the press service of the head of state.
"The Belarusian-Georgian cooperation in recent years has reached a qualitatively new level," says the message of congratulations. "The mutual foundations and historical friendship of the Belarusian and Georgian peoples constitute a solid foundation of relations."
Alexander Lukashenko said he was confident that the pursuit of intensive contacts for the development of political, economic and humanitarian relations fully meets the interests of both countries and will contribute to strengthening the dialogue between States.
The President of Belarus wished Salome Zurabishvili good health, as well as the implementation of all plans and commitments.
Recall that on November 29, the Georgian CEC announced the results of the presidential election in the country – Salomé Zourabichvili won it. Nearly 60% of voters voted for.
