Vlad is now 18 years old. On his birthday last May, he was transferred from a child's cell to an adult. Two weeks ago, the Minsk City Court considered his appeal and upheld the sentence. Like Lera, 17, to whom the guy wanted to rest at sea. Now the two are waiting for their transfer to the colony. The sea, under Part 4 of Article 328 of the Penal Code, is postponed by 10 years.

Svetlana, aunt Vlada came to the editorial board with the story of the young guys. She has her own point of view.

"Our team works with the legal ephemeral"

– Now, Vlad is 18 years old. His story, which will end in jail, began less than a year ago. At that time, Vlad was a graduate of the school and had not competed at a university. He decided this: until the next introductory campaign, he would find a secondary job and, in a year, he would try again.

– Do you have a rich family?

– Plain. But the same year, Vlad's father and mother lose their jobs. That is to say that there is a tension with the money. A teenager looking for independence began looking for work.

Lera is less than a year old. With her, Vlad met in the winter or spring of last year. I saw her for the first time only in court. Schoolgirl, as I understand it. They had dreams: live separately and relax. In the meantime, they dreamed of escaping and living with their parents.

Vlad was not at that time for 18 years, so he was interrupted by an official or unofficial part-time job. Tried, market. Somewhere they paid, somewhere they only promised. There was not enough money. And I found it.

– On March 1, 2018, he started making bookmarks. On March 16, Vlad went to the bank to establish a transfer card for unemployment benefits. And gone. During the meeting, he spoke of the detention as follows: "People in plain clothes went into the street and asked if there was something forbidden."

Vlad was frightened and took several doses in his pockets or as they called him. After that, he was handcuffed, "anti-drug" people arrived, found witnesses and started a search. And then they went to the department.

In just two nights, a woman from the juvenile department called her sister. She said: They say your son was arrested for drugs, come back tomorrow. And hang up the phone. Would not they have had to call their parents sooner?

– At the trial, they discovered the episode: one of the capsules was opened. Lera said that she was interested to see what was inside. She opened and closed. Again: the tests were clean. The usual curiosity of children.

The lawyer said pray

The district court started on July 28th.

– Before that, they were in prison. I saw my nephew for the first time in May – they had not allowed it before. Eyes shaking, frightened, not understanding.

According to the aunt, the story of Vlad's old hooliganism was limited to the usual theme of "Teenagers and Alcohol" – illegal, but mostly harmless.

– And we were scared during the investigation that almost addicts. The accusation was literally on every point of the article. The court subsequently ruled that the drug was found during the search and that both were under the influence of drugs. But I have the impression of such a shock charge. Initially, the investigators wrote the 3rd part, but eventually went to court with the 4th. Our lawyer, for whom we spent almost the last $ 2,000, said we could only pray.

– This is not a legal term.

– So, they say. And that it will prove that it is the 3rd. Although after all, having read all the material of the case and not having seen the cast (when going from hand to hand), I see only the 1st part. The purpose of the sale of the court is excluded.

– You understand that sales were not just formal?

– As an adult, I understand and see everything. But teens … If you had to put everything back in your hands, I think wholesalers would have a lot fewer customers. And when the romantic game "finds and hides" … There is not only the security of the seller, but also a psychological trap.

As a result, Vlad and Leray were sentenced to 10 years in prison. Neither the legal work nor the prayers helped.

– The verdict was heard in shock. We were hoping for the 3rd part.

– 8 years or 10 years – is it important?

– Two years difference, yes. Now, when I came out of shock, in general, this seems like a real punishment according to the 1st part of the article. This could be done. As the lawyers did in the case at the party where the girl died.

– But the crime is committed. And if the parents of a child, who could theoretically die from the laying of your nephew, would come to court?

– I do not know which mother suffers more: the one whose child has arrived at the party and who has died, or the one whose child has been taken to the colony for 10 years and where he is slowly dying. And she does not discharge her debt and sees her health collapse in this terrible colony. desperately

– At 27, your nephew will go out, and the potential victim – never.

– But it will be a "vegetable" with accumulated anger.

– What should be the punishment?

– If the first time someone meets, then issue a stern warning, perhaps with financial responsibility. The second time is the time. And if already the third time, let's take 10 to 20 years.

– Do not you think that under such a punishment the distribution of minors will flourish?

– No I have been on the side of those who are for tightening. But the point?

Does cruel punishment give results? There is a stream. I see only cut the tails, but nobody captures the "lizards".

I do not see the good prevention. A district officer comes to school, usually with a conference named after the online stores. And for kids it's fun. It would have been better to say that, for this reason, they put wolf holes for 10 to 20 years.

– Everyone around Vlad and Lera knows it.

– Yes, it's safe. It turns out that because of a life, thousands of potential victims are saved? I think you can think of other methods. If there is a way out other than death, I ask. Our children are already enough. A reasonable punishment for them could be a stepping stone to adulthood, but for now I see the grave.
