Study: Russia lacks three million jobs

The study refers to data from Rosstat according to which 3.67 million people of the working-age population of the Russian Federation are currently unemployed (International Labor Organization methodology). At the same time, regional companies need only 967,800 workers.

The most serious shortage of jobs is observed in Dagestan (188 000) and in the Krasnodar region (109 400).

Chechnya (82,300), the Chelyabinsk region (81,800), the Sverdlovsk region (80,000), the Irkutsk region (73,700), the Novosibirsk region and the Altai territory thousand), Rostov region (72.6 thousand) and Bashkiria (72 thousand).

Nevertheless, badysts note that in five regions, the number of vacancies is higher than the number of officially registered unemployed.

The most sensitive shortage of staff is that of Moscow and Saint PETERSBOURG – 57.8 and 19.1 thousand people, respectively.

"In the other three regions, unmet business needs are much smaller. In Yamalo-Nenets and the autonomous districts of Chukot, there are more than 1.4 and 1.2 thousand vacancies, respectively. In the Magadan region, there are 300 more vacancies than the candidates, "says the study.

According to Rostrud, in February, 0.8 million people were registered as unemployed in the employment services, including 0.7 million people receiving unemployment benefits.
