The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has introduced a new qualifying format for the boxing tournament. The Men's World Boxing Championship will be held from 7 to 21 September in Yekaterinburg, for women – October 3-13 in the Ulan-Ude. The 2020 Olympic Games will be held in Tokyo from July 25 to August 9.
