Belarus took third place in terms of consumer price growth in the first half of 2018, according to a BelaPAN badysis of data from national statistical agencies.

Inflation decreased in Kazakhstan, Latvia (2.6% each), Russia (2.1%), Lithuania (1.6%), Moldova and Tajikistan (0.8% each) . </p>

Prices in Kazakhstan increased by 0.2% in one month, in Lithuania, Moldova and Ukraine they have not changed, in Kyrgyzstan they decreased by 0.2%, in Uzbekistan – by 0.4 %, in Georgia – 0.6%, in Azerbaijan – by 0.7%, Armenia – 1.6% </p>
<p>  In self-proclaimed Transdniestria, which has its own financial system, prices have risen since the beginning of Year of 5.36% (in June – 0.75%). Price increases in January (0.8%) and January-February (1.7%) Belarus was fourth in the territory of the former USSR in the first quarter – it shared third place with the Armenia (2.5%) in April and May (2.8% and 2.5%). </p>
<p>  According to the main guidelines of the monetary policy of the Republic of Belarus for 2018, consumer prices should not increase by more than 6%. In 2017, they rose 4.6% (in January-June – 3.4% in June – 0.7%). </p>
