Cinema "Moscow" and "October" will become multiplexes

Pavel Skalaban, executive director of Kinovideoprokat's executive committee in Minsk city, told Minsk-News that two cinemas – "Moscow" and "October" – would become multiplexes.

– The building, where the "Moscow" is, is old, it has not been remodeled for a long time. In the future, this cinema is waiting to be rebuilt, it will become a modern multiplex. There will be several new comfortable rooms, enough space for that. Big, which works today and can accommodate 700 spectators, we will save. It should be noted that after the update, there will be a theater actor studio there, as before, "Skalaban said.

"Moscow" was opened in 1980. Then there were two halls: 260 and 1,070 seats. In 2014, the cinema renovated the interior, installed modern digital equipment and new chairs.

– As for October, we will not close for repair in the near future, as in Moscow. Now finished the work on the technical task. In our opinion, this cinema can be converted into a multiplex with three levels, that is, the rooms will be spread over several floors. The current cinema (the largest in the country) will continue. This will become more comfortable: the distance between the rows will increase. It will now welcome 1,186 people, which will give about 800 seats. The screen – 22 meters by 9.2 meters, not found anywhere else in the country, will also continue – continued Skalaban.

In addition, in updated cinemas equip a barrier-free environment. In this respect, the most comfortable people for people with disabilities are "Belarus" and the Cinema House, where there are not only ramps, but also toilets specially equipped.
