Every tenth resident of Belarus – 10.5% of the total population – has a monthly amount of up to 250 rubles. A year ago, that figure was 15.7%. Such conclusions can be drawn by badyzing Belstat's data on the average per capita available resources of the population in the third quarter of this year.

Most people with average disposable resources per capita did not exceed 250 rubles a month. In the third quarter of this year it was in the Mogilev region – 15.7% and the least – Minsk (1.5%).

At the same time, 11.2% of the population had a monthly sum of more than 800 rubles. This indicator is highest in the capital – 23.1% and the lowest in the Mogilev region (6.7%).

Recall that in the third quarter of this year, 3.9% of households were below the poverty line. Compared to the second quarter, this indicator decreased by 0.1% compared to the same period last year – by 0.3%.

According to the 2009 census, 3,873,139 households are registered in Belarus. In other words, the national poverty line in the third quarter of this year was about 151,000 families.

Unions have paid attention to the problem of the poor. For the third year in a row, the number of people who can not afford a minimum set of goods and services is increasing.
