"For meat and clothes, we are going to Germany." A woman from Minsk settles in a Swiss village and compares her to Belarusian

[ad_1]

Yulia's mother is a music teacher. I went with a choir to Germany and Italy – always brought something nice. My daughter was very small, of course, admired beautiful toys and delicious chocolates. He does not know why, but even then, there was the feeling that he would leave one day. The image of Germany has been drawn in my head. I almost have it. The Belorussian now lives in the district, in Switzerland, where prices for meat, chipped puppies and rental housing are very low for 2500 dollars.

Prehistory

Later, already in her youth, my girlfriend, then aged only 18, is married to a stranger. Constantly said: they say that you also need. I signed up on a site, started communicating with a guy from America, but it did not work. And I calmly scored on all that.

In Minsk, she worked as a specialist in logistics, marketing and purchasing. The owner of the company had three companies. I have done something in everyone. It was practical. She lived in the green meadow, on the other side of the road. She worked for four years. By training, I am an economist manager, graduated from BNTU. I wanted to change something in my life. I thought about retraining or going to China to work as an English teacher. I have a good one, but I went to school with a linguistic bias.

But then Switzerland arrived.

My husband loves hockey. In 2014, he came to Belarus to watch the World Cup matches. Then, having nothing to do was recorded on a German-speaking dating site. Saved and forgotten. I did not go with Belarusian men. Then I registered on the same site. It took some time after the World Cup and we met. In 2015, it seems. After a year and a half, I got married. I moved to his homeland.

District Executive Committee

For the Belarussian citizen, the village is essentially like that. What's a Swiss village, I had no idea. But during my visit several times, I understood: the situation is different from ours. Switzerland is divided into cantons. The townships are divided into hemeinds, or communities, as our region. The community includes four or five villages. Our called Berg. The population is 600 people and among hemeiners it is 3301.

It is north-east of Switzerland, 15 kilometers from the German Constanta.

There is a community administration – like a district executive committee. In this one, I received a residence permit, he solved all kinds of problems. The administration has an official website on which are displayed all the necessary information. The main thing is, of course, taxes. They are taken in Switzerland by country, canton and hemeind. Each region produces a different amount: about 40% of the income, about 20.

Housing

The buildings here are mostly on one floor. Homes where are aged 30, where are older, where are younger. Something new with glbad and concrete is not enough. But the village is upset. Recently walked, so in the street there are already two cranes. Erected, say, low season. These are brick houses of three or four storeys with apartments. They are at least two pieces. The inhabitants of the Swiss villages do not understand how the inhabitants of Minsk live in "odnushki". Three rooms for them – the usual option. And be sure to have a balcony or terraces to be able to grill and cook something in the street.

Basically, of course, people take off. The purchase is expensive. To approve a loan, you must earn decently. Rental housing in villages mostly owned by companies. Cleaning the tenant is not so easy. Even if a person gets a note, everything must be done by the court. In other words, he will live six months more for free and only then will he be forced to leave.

That is, yes, being a renter is convenient. Something broke – not your concern. All repairs are done by the owner. But during the expulsion, you are obliged to return the room in perfect condition. During the move, many Swiss hire special cleaning or even repair teams to solve the problem with the former tenant.

On average, renting a house costs between 2000 and 2500 francs. Frank – about a dollar. Three-roomed older – 1500. A brand new apartment can reach until 2000. In cities with space, it's more difficult, so there are "odnushki". But their cost is much higher.

My husband and I have already thought about the move. Options found, began to understand. They took his father with him. Let's go to the bride. The father says: "There is no balcony, there are small rooms, what is the quality of life?" The "quality of life" for Swiss is a key concept. It is extremely important that they are good. And it seems like it's a four-room apartment for two people. What's wrong, how can it be small? But my Swiss did not like. I still do not understand why.

Job

In Switzerland, there is no centralization. The inhabitants of the regions do not want to be in the capital with all their strength. There is local patriotism, there is a comfortable habitat everywhere. Young people can leave the villages for the cities because of their studies: after all, universities are concentrated there. But then they start a family and come back. The question of finding a job in Switzerland is not worth it. Jobs will be provided more or less everywhere. Of course, I am not talking about deaf mountain villages, which can only be reached by train. And many of them are in tourism and live normally.

Plus, again, the quality of life. Yes, you spend a little more time on the road, sometimes it's dark, without a car, you can spend more time on the road, everything is closed on Sunday. But your house, silence, tranquility, ecology, few migrants, grills and fresh views.

Where can we work in our village? There are two grocery stores, a farm, three churches, a school, a kindergarten, a hairdresser, a solarium, a family doctor, a vet, a bank, two gas stations, a house pension, a bakery, a flower shop, two gas stations, a car shop, two restaurants and a bar, a post office close Naturally, everything is already arranged there. There is little work in the village itself, but there are other neighbors, in which there are large companies, such as Stadler, Bühler, Mowag, known to all the inhabitants of Dzerzhinsk, manufacture superb cars for the military. Most people will work in Frauenfeld, Weinfelden, Kreuzlingen and Amriswil.

The average salary in the Swiss countryside … Here, we must take into account that they do not differ much from those of cities. At least in our canton of Thurgau. Naturally, in Zurich, wages are much higher. My husband used to go to work there.

On average in Switzerland, people earn between 5,500 and 6,000 francs.

I go to Kreuzlingen every day. It's 25 minutes. I work at the office secretariat.

The Swiss are very diligent. Much more industrious than the Belarusians. I have a very correct husband. If at the end of the week you tell him that you are tired, he does not understand at all how this: "It's work! This is necessary! It's a part of life! " Swiss people do not understand how to sit in the office and, during working hours, stay on the Internet or chat with someone for a long time: "It's work! It is impossible!

In Switzerland, a person can be sick for two days without reference. I once joked: "You have a good country. I'm tired of everything. I stayed two days at home, I calmed down. He did not understand. This is not a local way of thinking.

The average working day at the Swiss office is almost nine hours. Lunch is practiced – an hour when everyone gets up and goes to eat or go about their business. At 9:00 – 15 minutes break. In some companies, another – at 15:00 or 15:30. Here, everyone gets up early and goes to bed early. The working day is from 7:00 to 17:00. At ten o'clock in the evening everyone gets ready for the bed. Not because there is nothing to do, but such a way of life.

Transport

With the Belarussian rights, I had the right to ride only one year. It was necessary to relearn. For a moment, used the train. There are two or three minutes late, but in general everything is clear. The only problem of the regional lines – the train goes round in circles in all the villages. In 35 minutes, I traveled 15 km needed, but now I drive 15-20 minutes.

The trains work very well. Where there is no train, there is a bus. That's right, the bus is not far away. Yes, and some stops will cost 5 francs.

Very expensive The same Weinfelden is in a different area. For a train ticket, you have to pay 5 francs. My husband is somehow playing hockey again and decided to go somewhere for the weekend. I wanted to watch Zermatt. 300 kilometers from the path. The return ticket costs 150 francs. Almost like an airplane.

Previously, my husband had gone to work in Zurich and had bought a one year subscription with a 50% discount. It costs 2500 francs. Zurich is 60 kilometers away. Although you can buy a special card at a price of 180 francs, you will benefit from a 50% discount on trains, lifts and other modes of transport. It's paying off, but still expensive.

The machine gives freedom but also draws money. The minimum insurance for the year – 1000 francs, change the wheels – 200, buy them on my Nissan Micra – 700-800. 95th gasoline – 1.61 franc. To travel on the slopes, you must buy a permit that costs 40 francs. Compared to other expenses – a trifle.

There is almost no traffic jam. If it's only in the evening, when everyone comes home from work. But it is not Minsk.

Shops

There are two grocery stores, but it is more expensive than in urban areas. Volg – network purely for the villages. Denner is found in cities. This office has the right to sell alcohol.

In our street there is a farm shop. Guys recently made the machine 24 hours a day, seven days a week – you will not be lost if you want organic cabbage at three in the morning.

A liter of milk costs on average 1.5 to 2 francs, a kilo of meat – 70 francs. Yes, 70. The meat prices in Switzerland are bad. The husband once bought biokuritsu. 400 grams of fillets at best, but 15 francs. Eggs – 2.5 francs a dozen, bread – 1, Vitushka – 3. Something from the bakery – 7 francs. Apples – 3.5 francs per kilogram.

Alcohol is expensive. Discount beer can be found at 39 cents per half liter pot. That's right, it's a big rarity. Because the reduction and the German network Lidl. Usually, beer costs 1.5 to 2 francs.

In general, neighboring Germany helps. Saturday at the border of the queue. There are no borders, just a column, but guys can arrange checks. I work side by side, so sometimes at noon I walk to Germany to eat meat. 20 minutes – and on the spot.

According to the rules in force in Germany, you can only bring a kilo of meat per person, a liter of spirits, 5 liters of beer or wine, up to a kilogram of butter. There are no restrictions on fish and vegetables, take as many as you want. The total amount of purchases must not exceed 300 €.

For clothes too, we go to Germany. In our region, this kind of chain stores makes no sense. All use the services of the Germans.

Entertainment

There is something to do in the village. Highly developed hike. Even if it's not the mountain, you can just walk along the forest between the villages along the trails. In Berg, there is a football field, a tennis court, a stadium, people go shooting at the bow, like a circle, a community of churches, a community of firemen, a gymnastics , a volleyball, a men 's choir and a riding club, which are very much appreciated here.

In the district, people have skis or horses. Other animals do not hold. Only if farmers, but it's their business. People live near our village, near large fields. By law, they can not be built. Farmers have many employees – mainly from Poland, Slovakia and other countries of Eastern Europe. Generally, there is a store with organic products and everything else is sold to the networks. Yet in agriculture, wages are not the highest, even if people work well.

Otherwise, residents can arrange a hobby for themselves and create a small garden bed. A man is going to pick up five tomatoes – he is happy. But sowing all the free space is certainly not a Swiss version. You can go to the store. Well, about the pleasure of life, no one forgets.

I did not see cats or stray dogs on the street. If a Murzik is running, it means that someone is certain. There are shelters like ours, but taking a cat costs between 500 and 600 francs. Because he's smart, castrated and saved. Well, if the farmer's cat was licking: give it cheaper.

If you want a movie, there are nearby cities. One session costs 15 francs. You should go to Zurich for opera, there is a theater in St. Gallen. It is 40 kilometers from us.

Fairs, sales, marathons and holidays take place every weekend. Weekly is a free newspaper with announcements and news of local life because the school has chosen a director or something of the sort.

Total

The Swiss countryside is far from being on the brink of extinction. Yes, I have already seen an announcement on a mountain colony whose administration promised 200,000 francs to each immigrant. Certainly, we had to stay there to live and restore the house. Objectively, this money is not enough – you can not even buy a house. On average, it costs between 1.2 and 1.5 million francs.

I live in a pretty village. This is 70% typical of Switzerland. Certainly, in old age, people come out of here. One of my colleagues is retiring after two years. He once said: "Looking for an apartment in the city.""Why, you have a big pool house here!""I need clubs and bars! In addition, I will become old and in 70 years, I will not be able to drive a car myself. And the city has all the infrastructure and the specialists needed to help me a little. "
