The commission of inquiry completed the investigation into the criminal case at the bank's office in Zaslavl, where on July 18 a 46-year-old man took his 23-year-old daughter hostage. During the special operation to release the hostage, the suspect was liquidated. The investigators told the details of this story.

– The investigation established that the motive of the crime was motivated by intra-familial relationships. Collection of evidence indicating that a man committed for several years unlawful acts against his daughter. During their common residence, he was systematically tortured, subjected to beatings, inflicted bodily harm, causing particular physical and mental suffering. The girl only turned to the police one time, but the administrative proceedings initiated against the man in court were interrupted because of their reconciliation.

A week before the incident, as a result of an argument, a man motivated his daughter with a knife on the basis of jealousy and caused him neck injuries. On the day of the accident, the victim, at the request of the person involved, went to the bank branch to re-register his loan. When signing loan documents in the operating room, he got intoxicated and put a knife on his neck, demanding to stop communicating with his young man. The realization of his intention to seize him resulted in injuries in the form of fifteen abrasions on his neck and six injuries on the fingers of his hands.

When collecting documents characterizing the suspect, it was established that he had been repeatedly sentenced for intentional crimes. In 2007, he was released from prison, where he was serving a sentence for robbery.
After a thorough examination of all the circumstances, the preliminary investigation was closed due to the death of the perpetrator of the particularly serious crimes, – Inquiry Committee on reports.

According to the findings of the psychological and psychiatric post-mortem examination, the suspect did not suffer from any mental disorder while committing the incriminated acts, could become aware of the real nature and social danger of his acts and the lead.
