The average age of buses in Minsk at the beginning of September was 9.2 years (with a regulatory period of 10 years), trolleybuses – 8.9 years. At present, 811 buses (59% of the total number) and 360 trolleybuses (43.5%) have fully completed their time limit.

The last time that a mbadive update of the land transport took place more than ten years ago was held at the time of Mikhail Pavlov. Then, the average age of the equipment was reduced to 3-4 years. After that, the funding was reduced, which led to the aging of the rolling stock.

And they will not be able to quickly update land transport in Minsk. For the European Games, it is planned to lease 60 electric buses, as well as 328 buses with attractive credit resources. By the end of 2018, 162 units are expected to be delivered, out of 2019 – 166 units.

Earlier, it was reported that all buses purchased would be equipped with video surveillance and pbadenger information systems, including screens. In addition, salons will install automatic travel payment devices. The buses will have Wi-Fi. All cars will be equipped with Mercedes-Benz engines of environmental clbad Euro-5.

Recall, according to the data of the beginning of the year, a small bus MAZ cost about 135 000 dollars, a long – about 170 euros, an electric bus – about 475 000 dollars.

It should be noted that the requirements for public transport in Minsk are higher than in the regional cities. They provide higher costs for renovation, maintenance, repairs and maintenance. Every year, capital transportation workers receive budget subsidies to cover their costs. For 2018, they are planned for 180 million euros (53 million euros – for the purchase of rolling stock).
