The phone received a 5.45-inch screen with an aspect ratio of 18: 9, but it's one of the few aspects of appearance that indicates the "Modernity" of the device. A wide frame on the sides of the screen with a resolution of 720 × 1440 pixels can cause disappointment at the beginning – well, how? Then comes the understanding that the target audience of the smartphone is unlikely to bother about it. Probably.

The clbadic design of the smartphone dilutes the "flagship" view of the dual camera on the back panel, it is placed horizontally in the upper left corner. At the top, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack and a noise canceling microphone. Another surprise is the placement of the speaker: at the bottom, there is only one hole in the main microphone, as well as a microUSB connector, no usual "grids". The holes in the speakers moved to the back panel, and this decision seems at least unusual.

Also, now that you're holding the phone with both hands (when watching a video, for example), you're not overloading the speaker. However, if the device is lying on a table or, especially, with something soft, the intensity of the sound decreases noticeably, unpleasant ear distortions appear, and strong communication is also used in a problematic way. However, the scenario is unlikely when Redmi 6 will badume the role of a "boom box" for a disco. Moreover, something similar can be seen in Redmi 5A, for example, but the solution in the form of an HTC grid is more elegant.

The battery life will vary depending on the smartphone's usage scenarios. In our case, Redmi 6 lasted almost two days with a minimum of internet surfing, a small number of calls and a few game sessions. MediaTek positions the Helio P22 chip as "a new premium for low budget mobile phones". No, of course, this is not a premium processor, but a capable processor, but in addition there is 3 GB of RAM (there are also changes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory – 32 GB). 3, known for its greed and lack of optimization, tends a new MediaTek processor. It remained playable, but fps sank sensibly. In Shadow Fight 3 with its "adult" graphics, everything has turned out surprisingly fluid. In general, once, sometimes, it is not necessary, and some games, even demanding, can unfold without a hitch, but in others, it is obvious: the power is not enough . And, of course, such entertainment actively heats the chip and consumes the charge substantially.

Small delays and torn animation were observed during the launch of YouTube videos. The standard camera application, on the contrary, worked quickly under all conditions. Sometimes the interface may slow down, but it happens from time to time, and it was not possible to find templates.

In synthetic tests, Redmi 6 does not show any significant results. Maybe slightly more than Redmi 5 on Snapdragon 450, but in general the performance of its predecessor Redmi 6.

The best option is to go to the mercy of the system because it is better (in this case – brighter) the image will not be in any case. The alternative is to abandon the self-adjusting brightness, which will add a number of threads.

The sound is obviously not the highlight of the Redmi 6. The speaker on the back panel is loud. This can be limited. Low frequencies are not transmitted to the speaker, the average is lost. Fortunately, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack, in which the image improves, but far from ideal – in some compositions, the bbad at maximum volume is played, the power of the amplifier is not enough. Redmi 6 received a double photomodule in 12 configuration (f / 2.2, 1.25 μm, phase autofocus) + 5 (f / 2.2, 1.12 μm) megapixels. The camera surprisingly achieves good macro-images, the portraits are good, including a self-camera. In other conditions, the photos are good until the increase. In some cases, the image seems to be obscured, in others it is fuzzy, the details are lost, the lack of clarity. Maybe the question is in the lighting, but the same problems are typical when shooting under bright sunshine. But for an employee of the state – quality quite normal.

Xiaomi Redmi 6 could be the "king of the mountain", as often happens with this vendor's devices. in China – about 240 rubles in equivalent for the model with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of integrated. In Belarus, the novelty will cost at least 380 rubles. As a result, the previous Redmi 5 or Redmi 5 Plus can compete with him.

The plastic case here is quite to the point. The screen lacks brightness, dynamics – sound quality. The camera? It's good enough for the price segment, and it's certainly better than a lot of competitors. And it is unlikely that it will be possible to find the same device with the same performance with the same budget.

The Redmi 6A will save a bit on a new model – with 2GB of RAM, 16 or 32GB of built-in, a single 13-megapixel main camera.
