Microsoft has updated the Word icon: for the first time in 11 years, there is no sheet of paper on it

Microsoft has updated the program icons from Office 365, which have not changed since 2013. For example, there is no more recognizable white form on the Word logo, this since 2007. The update will affect applications on all platforms – Windows, Mac, iOS and Android. This writes TJournal with reference to The Verge.

"The design solution was to separate the letter and symbol from the icons, basically creating two panels – one for the letter and one for the symbol," said the design director of Microsoft. On the promotional image, the Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook icons accompany the OneDrive and Skype logos.
