Minsk authorities want major repairs to homes to take place once every 33 years

In the capital, the task is to make a major overhaul in every home every 33 years. Head of the Finance Department of the Minsk City Executive Committee, Alexey Afanasyev, said this to finance, accounting and auditing.

– The city is responsible for the annual review of at least 3% of the housing stock in the city, which would allow for a renovation of each home on average once every 33 years. In recent years, the volume has risen to 1.5-2% per year, said the official.

But the implementation of the plans depends mainly on the capacity of the budget. For example, in 2018, given the volume of funding provided by the Ministry of Finance, the contribution of the area after the redesign should be about 300,000 square meters, a third of the task for the Current year, that is 875,000 "squares".

– The lack of budget funds to enter the remaining amount is about 46 million. Although we were certainly trying to find additional funds for these purposes, explained Afanasyev.
