Nominated regions of Russia with the highest pensions

As of 1 January 2019, the average pension in Russia was 14,825.95 rubles. The largest payments were registered in the Far Eastern Federal District (16,534.81 rubles), the smallest in the south of the country (13,564.48 rubles) and North Caucasus (12,865.41 rubles) federal districts.

Among the regions, the most important pensions are found in Chukotka (27,044.25 rubles), in the Nenets Autonomous District (23,992.77 rubles), in the Magadan region (23,239.31 rubles), in Kamchatka Krai (23,213.75 rubles). Yamalo-Nenets Okrug Autonomous (22,581.03 rubles) and Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous region (22 477.91 rubles).

The least paid in Daghestan (11,854.25 rubles), Kabardino-Balkaria (11,922.16 rubles) and Kalmykia (12,672.6 rubles). It should be noted that in 2018, 25.4% of Russian citizens (37.9 million) were older than valid people.

According to the Ministry of Labor, one in five pensioners continues to work in Russia. For example, in January 2019, the share of active retirees represented 20.4% of the total number of retirees in the country.
